Healing From The Heart of The Soul Tone Magazine - February 2009 Issue

The first and most apparent place that healing occurs is at the physical level. When our bodies get sick with illness and disease, we say we need to be healed and most often, we put ourselves in the hands of western medical doctors who will treat us at the physical level. Unfortunately, because they are only treating the illness or disease that has appeared on the physical body, they are only “curing” from the most superficial place possible. The truth is that all disease and illness happen first in multiple places within the individual, and when it finally shows itself in the physical aspect, we then only become aware of a process that may have taken years to finally manifest itself. I have great respect for the medical profession. I worked in it for many years and saw many patients go through the process of disease and illness with the attitude of “fighting it”. Most people will take this attitude and fight against the very thing that is calling them into a much deeper opportunity of healing. Asking oneself why the disease manifested itself in the first place is a very good place to start and understanding that anything you fight against is just going to fight back.
The second place that healing needs to occur is at the emotional level. This is probably one of the most difficult places to do personal healing, but it is the most rewarding. In all my years in the “healing” business, I have come to understand that all true healing comes from the emotional layer. The most common cause of emotional dysfunction is from not feeling safe in ones environment to express their true feelings. This usually begins in infancy or childhood when we’re told that “Good girls don’t cry”, or “Big boys are always brave.” We believe everything we are told as children and not too many of us had the “perfect” childhood we think we did. Quite often there were situations where we had to swallow feelings that were ready to be expressed and when we do that, the energy of that emotion usually goes into one of the lower 3 chakras in our energetic body. This causes a block to occur, and until it is cleared at the emotional level, our suppressed feelings will prevent us from being completely present in every moment. We are constantly being dragged back emotionally to past situations, which will influence our entire lives. It is impossible to be in the now moment if you are always being drawn into the past.
The third place that healing needs to take place is at the mental level. What we believe to be true for ourselves and the world around us is what will either help or hinder any healing process. Belief systems are responsible for just about everything we do and how we interact with others. They also tell us what is true for each of us, and if you have the belief or live in fear of some terrible event befalling you, chances are you will draw that very event to yourself. The Law of Attraction really does work, and it works whether you are thinking positive thoughts, or negative ones. When it comes to disease and illness, most people will die from the diagnosis (you can’t really die anyway). When we hear the word “cancer”, most of us go into fear since we “believe” that to have it means having to fight it to the death. Unfortunately, when you give your own personal power away to a group of beliefs that hold that journey and that outcome, you will be in for a difficult ride.
The fourth place that healing occurs is in our energetic system. Everything is made up of energy, even our physical body. This system includes the chakras and our aura which function at a very high vibration. So high actually that we really have to work at seeing them with our physical eyes. In truth, disease doesn’t just appear on the physical body. It first has to come in from the energetic body, through the mental system, into the emotional system until it finally hits the physicality. We are actually very high vibrational beings existing at many different levels all at the same time. We have created our physical bodies not from the inside out, but from the outside in. Therefore, if we can learn how to balance all aspects of our being, and heal energetic, mental and emotional issues, we need never have illness or disease manifest itself on the physical body.
This all sounds nice and neat and tidy I’m sure. Most alternative healers today as well as eastern medicine will treat not just the physical body, but all the other bodies as well. But the reality we live in says that people around us are dying. Their physical body gets sick; maybe they do all the alternative healing they can, balance their energy, deal with their emotions and belief systems, think positive and do everything they can to bring true healing to their lives. Why then, after all that work, do people still die? That brings us to the most important aspect of who we are and the part of us that is already healed in every way- our soul energy.
As a practitioner in the healing arts, I have spent many years helping people heal themselves, and not just at the physical level, but at the emotional, mental and energetic levels as well. My work though has taken me much deeper into the healing process, and that of course is healing from the spiritual or soul level. Your soul is the part of you that knows your life plan. It knows where you’ve been and where you’re going. It has an agenda for you that usually has nothing to do with the agenda your personality has for you. That is why once you begin to get in touch with your own soul energy and understand your true path in this lifetime, you will find the only healing you will ever need since it affects every other part of you. It is healing from the highest vibrational place the physical body can withstand as it washes away every imbalance that might exist in the mental, emotional, energetic and physical bodies. Understanding disease and illness from the souls’ perspective and why it’s there in the first place can go a long way towards healing it. Sometimes it is for our own personal growth; sometimes when death occurs, it is for the personal growth and healing of others.
Seeing beyond our five sensory world and letting go of fear in our lives is not an easy task and one that has taken me many years but it hasn’t happened for nothing. I believe we are always led to exactly the places we are supposed to be in every moment and that nothing happens without a reason. I am beginning to draw to me those who want the same experiences. Putting them into words and teaching them will be challenging, but I am ready to bring forth my soul energy so others can begin to understand theirs and the exciting journey we are all on. Experiencing the heart of the soul is the journey after all and one that many won’t experience until lifetimes have passed. I’m not waiting- there is only the now moment and I don’t know about you, but I want all my now moments to be healed ones.

New Energy and Creating Our Reality Tone Magazine - October 2007 Issue

I usually enjoy some time off to relax and unwind after a busy year of teaching, counselling and workshops, but for some reason, this summer didn’t bring the relaxation I usually experience. The energy seemed to be building in the last few months and instead of the tranquility that usually comes with a hot, lazy summer, my husband Steve and I have experienced just the opposite. A lot of you may have noticed many issues from your past trying to sneak into your life once again such as unfinished business with others, regrets and fears from your past experiences, physical ailments and body aches and pains and a really general irritation with things in your life that have never bothered you before.
For those of you who are tuned into the energy on the planet, you may or may not be aware that the energy actually has been building as we accelerate to a new energy shift coming very soon. As I write this article, it is September 4, 2007, and you will actually be reading this in October. By now, you may be aware of the Quantum Leap energy that happened on September 18 of this year. For those of you into numerology, you will notice that September 18, 2007 is a 9-9-9 day with 9 being the number of completion. From where I sit now, on that date, hundreds of thousands of people from all around the world will be gathering to help usher in this new energy. Of course, there are always the gloom and doomers that will cry the end of the world (again).
The truth is, many of you probably experienced nothing on that day. If you are sensitive to energy though, you may have felt an energetic shift happen within yourself. Since that time, you may find things beginning to move faster in your life, maybe unresolved issues have suddenly disappeared or you may find in the coming months you are doing things that you’ve never done before but have always wanted to do. You may find you have more courage to confront the issues in your life that are no longer serving you, and you may find that those people in your life that don’t love and support you begin to fall away.
This isn’t the end of the world, but instead it is the end of an energetic period that we have been in for the past 2000 years that has slowly been building to this point in time when we can begin to reclaim our true identities. The energy on the planet has been getting lighter and lighter for some time now, allowing the process of healing and awakening to occur very easily for some. For others, this process of evolving spiritually and energetically is a very uncomfortable thought, and many will choose to stay where they are. There are many who will find it difficult to deal with their own personal issues and take back complete ownership of who they really are which includes being an all powerful creator.
If you find yourself stuck in this scenario, it is important to love yourself enough to honour your own personal process. The fear that exists with taking back every part of yourself that you’ve given away in this lifetime and other lifetimes is very real, but until you understand that you have the power within you to create anything in your life you want, you will remain in a situation where there is always something or someone outside of you that has control over your existence. Taking responsibility for your entire life and reality including all the negative stuff will be one of the most eye opening and empowering experiences you’ll ever have.
You can not NOT evolve. Evolution is a natural process that occurs whether you are aware of it or not, and it is happening to everyone who lives on the planet earth. This new energy is simply going to accelerate the evolution process and those who are trying not to change will find it very challenging indeed. Duality and drama will work in conjunction with your fears and try to keep you in the illusion that this is all there is and that we are just little humans completely at the mercy of some outside force that has complete control over us and our lives.
Over the past few years, my husband Steve and I have been teaching a variety of workshops on the various aspects of the self. Last year, we did a complete series that covered everything we understood from the perspective of body, mind, spirit and the energetics of who we are.
We found that there are so many people on a similar journey as we are, and we wanted to help those who were feeling stuck in their own process. Sometimes, hearing the unexplained explained to you can open up potentials in your life you weren’t even aware of. The most common thing we heard from clients who were stuck was that they understood the concepts of what we were telling them, but that these things somehow didn’t apply to them. There was always a but…… “My situation won’t allow me to think like that”, or “I wish my family was more supportive of me doing that.” Our response is always the same.
This isn’t about anyone else. It is about you and your life and what you are willing to do to have it the way you want it. It’s about taking back all the little pieces of yourself that you’ve given away to other people and situations. It’s about stopping the energy you’re leaking and keeping it for yourself. This may sound selfish, but until you put yourself first, you can not be a sovereign being.
In the last year, there have been many articles, books and movies about “The Law of Attraction” which supports the belief that like attracts like and therefore, what you are putting out energetically, you will receive back and thus create the circumstances of your life. The problem is, many of these movies and articles tell you the mechanics of how to create, but they don’t tell you everything.
They don’t explain that there are so many parts of you that are working underneath the surface of your personality and that are working with your spirit or soul energy to create every situation in absolute perfection for your journey in this lifetime. The workshops we’ve created will help you understand all these different aspects of self and give you a clearer understanding of why things may not be working for you, or if they are, how you can increase your energetic vibration and continue to call in exactly what it is you want in your life.
There are many who just know the answer to the question, “So, who are you really” Then there are those who really have to stop and ponder. The truth is, everyone has a different answer during their healing and remembering process, but in the end, everyone comes to the same conclusion. And, what is that conclusion? Well, I wouldn’t want to disempower you and spoil the ending, which is really only the beginning. Your own truth and answers will come to you in the most perfect way for you.
Now, the energy on the planet will make it easier for all of us to answer that question without hesitation. It is now supportive of you remembering that you really do create everything that comes your way, and you always have. Looking back on your past and seeing with new eyes the absolute perfection of each event whether it was experienced in a negative or positive way will alter your future thoughts and beliefs about who is really driving your bus. Wouldn’t it be nice to deliberately choose where that bus goes next?

The Mechanics of Deliberate Creation Tone Magazine - November 2007 Issue

That’s because there is more ‘channeled’ information coming through from the higher realms, than ever before. The vibration on the planet has never been higher than it is today. Concepts like ‘we are not alone on our spiritual journey’ and that we are inseparably ‘body, mind and spirit’, have become easier to understand, thanks to authors like Neale Donald Walsch and Deepak Chopra. They, and many others, have tapped into their own higher levels of consciousness and pass on these beautiful messages for the price of a paperback.
But the current wave of information coming through has some people puzzled. I’m referring to the notion that we ‘create our own reality’. Movies like ‘The Secret’ and the entire Abraham–Hicks series of books are best sellers, and rightly so. For they offer an incredible message of empowerment. If we really do create our reality in this material, Third Dimensional world, then we can surely change anything about our lives that we don’t like. And this includes all aspects of health, wealth and happiness - empowering concepts, indeed.
So, what kinds of problems are people having? You’d think that such a simple, life-changing teaching would have folks beating the doors down to get on the ‘create your reality train’. After all, do you know anyone who doesn’t have something in their life they’d like to change? I don’t.
My wife Wendy and I have worked together for a number of years and teach a series of workshops on the mechanics of ‘Deliberate Creation’. We both have strong backgrounds in working with energy and have noticed certain common themes, or roadblocks, where some people get stuck. I’d like to share some of these with you.
First, as most of you already know, the premise that we unconditionally create our reality is based on the Universal Law of Attraction. Simply put, like attracts like. Or, we attract to ourselves what we put out ‘energetically’. Everything in the universe is a vibration of one kind or another and the expression, “What goes around comes around” can be painfully true.
The most common stumbling block comes in understanding which part of you is doing the creating in the first place. No, that’s not New Age double-speak. We need to appreciate that everyone operates at three fundamental levels of consciousness which have to be in alignment; otherwise we give out mixed signals to the universe.
Your main platform of consciousness is the one you’re in right now, reading this. We call it our ‘Personality’. It’s the part of us that is seeking more money, a better job or improved health. At this level, the personality uses its five senses to establish what is real in our lives and many are tricked into believing that this reality is all there is. They couldn’t be more wrong.
We also have a Super-conscious self. Call it Soul, Spirit, Higher Self or Divinity - it doesn’t really matter what we call it. It’s that part of you, operating at a much higher vibration than the personality, that knows your spiritual plan for this lifetime. It has an agenda and our ‘free will’ is all about whether we choose to surrender to that agenda, or not. Those who do surrender become deeply committed on their spiritual path and find that creating from this fifth or sixth dimensional level brings extraordinary results.
But our lowest vibrations are reserved for the subconscious energies and here is where we carry our wounds, among other things. Issues of unworthiness, abandonment and wounded inner children reside here in an energetic state, ready to influence the messages we send to the universe – often contradicting the desires of our personality. So, when we passionately declare, “I choose to be abundant”, but the subconscious believes otherwise and puts out the vibration, “I’m not worth it”, the end result, more often than not, is an unfulfilled dream.
You see, the ‘universe’ we speak of is just an energetic extension of you. It provides a limitless stream of wellbeing, ready to give us everything we desire and we communicate with it through our aura and chakras. When these become clogged with emotional wounds and limiting belief systems, we quite literally push away the wellbeing that our spiritual universe is trying so hard to provide.
So stripping away these limitations is an important part of clearing the pathway to the life you’ve always wanted. And the first step in creating yourself anew is to understand what they are and how they work. That’s why this series of workshops goes into all aspects of the creation process; including chakras, auras, sub-personalities and belief systems. We put it all together like pieces of a puzzle and help you discover the powerful creator you already are.

Angels have been a big part of my life for about the last 15 years or so. Being brought up a good Catholic girl, we were always taught about angelic beings that would fly around the sky, watching over humans, and maybe, just maybe, if you were good enough, you would actually get to see an angel, or maybe even get a message from one. A good Catholic girl I was, growing up through my teens, never getting into any trouble, never going against what I was taught, until, one day, when I was in my early thirties, my whole life fell apart. I hated everything about it, and wanted to create something else. Being as stuck as I was wasn’t fun. It actually brought me to the brink of ending it all. And on that day, I finally got my angel.
It was a voice that began inside of me and I could hear it in my head, sort of the same inner dialogue voice that we all have. It even kind of sounded like me, but I knew, deep inside of me, that it was different. The voice told me to get out of bed, to keep breathing, to keep going, because very soon, my whole life would be different. And I did. I kept going, kept breathing, and not 3 months later, my whole life changed. Things that I couldn’t have imagined began to happen. The inner voice that I had heard that day began to get stronger as I did my own healing work. There were a whole series of events that began to play themselves out to help me orchestrate my life to support the changes I needed to make on the outside as well. It was as if I had a team of unseen beings take over and bring me nothing but love and hope. Nine months later, I had gone from suicidal thoughts to loving myself and my whole life.
The unseen team of course, were my runner angels, who had simply responded to my cries for help. Very few people know about this angelic group, who are just waiting for you to give them permission to help you. Very few people also know that you are the commander and chief of all you create. You have a whole army of angelic beings just waiting for you to give them something to do. Many don’t know that you need to give them permission before they can begin their work with you.
My years of personal healing have taking me into many different modalities of healing, but the one that has never changed is my connection with the angels. My first encounter after “the voice” was during a very deep healing session that brought forward the 4 Archangels, Michael, Gabriel, Uriel and Raphael. Their initial messages many years ago are just starting to make sense to me now as I read back on them and realize how profound they really have been in my life since then. This group of 4 that I now fondly refer to as “The Guys” have stayed with me, helping me in my own healing process, as well as helping all those clients that come to me for their own healing issues.
So, how did they get me into teaching? Well, my love for these beautiful beings continued to grow over the years, and through the process of channeling their loving messages, I would come upon those who went into complete fear at the thought of getting a message from an angel. It seems that they were taught that it isn’t alright to “tap into those things we aren’t supposed to know”, and “it’s not OK to disturb heavenly beings”. Wow! I was taken aback. How these loving beings could be so misunderstood is beyond me. Trying to be a spiritual person is all great and wonderful, but my heart really ached for both the people in fear and for the angels, who’s job it is to deliver messages to all of mankind who ask for help in times of need. At the same time though, I need to honour where someone is and who may or may not be ready for this information.
It was Archangel Uriel who just dropped in one day, and basically told me to get my butt in gear. I had been going on for about a year about how much I wanted to put a workshop together that would teach people about who angels really are, and all the different ways they get their messages across. Uriel gave me the framework of a full day workshop in about half an hour, and told me to please face my fears and get myself out there. So, I did, and I’ve never regretted it. The information that I teach is amazing to most who attend our workshops and most have no idea how many ways angels will deliver a message. They have a job to do whether you believe in them or not, and they will always find a way to bring you love and hope.
My fears have subsided now to the point where I can sit in front of a group and simply allow the loving messages to flow through me. I’m no longer afraid of saying something that someone might disagree with. Actually, I welcome their questions and comments since that is what makes a workshop great. I no longer have to hide behind proving anything since the Angels will always find a way to make themselves known, no matter what. Yes, you are special enough to receive angelic messages. And you are, in every moment having messages whispered in your ear from these beings who only want you to experience joy. Wouldn’t it be nice to know what those messages are?

Tone Magazine - July 2008 Issue

If you click on our website www.awakeningangels.ca, you’ll see that my wife Wendy and I call ourselves teachers of New Energy Consciousness and I must confess to some apprehension at putting such a grand claim down in print for all to see. But there is a New Energy on the planet and for thousands who can feel its presence, many things have changed. So, I would like to share some thoughts with you and do my best to put this New Energy into some kind of perspective.
It had been with us for a while, but didn’t become fully anchored here until September 18, 2007; so we’ve had a few months to let it sink in and begin to feel its affects. For those who were tuned in at that time, the shift was palpable. Any of you into numerology wouldn’t miss the significance of the 9-9-9 date - the number “9” being a powerful completion number,
In this case, the event marked the end of a two thousand year period, often referred to as the Christ Era that began with the life of Jesus of Nazareth. During these past 2000 years, we have all been evolving through many lifetimes - each time emerging just a little more conscious than the last one. The effect has been a gradual spiritual evolution: one that has raised our vibration as a species and also that of the planet itself. After all, Mother Earth not only provides our physical environment, but our energetic one too.
So what about the end of the world in 2012? Well, as most of you know, the Mayan calendar predicted centuries ago that the world would come to an end in the year 2012. Of course, the tabloids had us believe it meant Armageddon and mass destruction and, in fairness, we came dangerously close to doing just that a few decades ago during the Cold War with Russia. But more to the point, the Mayan calendar couldn’t foresee anything past that date and now we are beginning to understand why.
Simply put, the mass consciousness we all subscribe to, creates our collective reality in terms of what’s happening today and what we attract to ourselves in our collective future. It’s the same consciousness that removed the finger from the nuclear trigger back then and the same group consciousness that always gives us the government we deserve. So the predicted end of this era was a Mayan projection of where our group energy would be in 2012, as seen through the influences of the stars and planets. We just happened to get there a few years early, thanks to many of you and thousands more just like you across the planet.
Like the majority of folks who read Tone Magazine, I have been consciously aware for many years. I think my first ‘healing’ took place in the mid 80’s and since then I’ve taken every opportunity to heal the wounds of abandonment, self worth and let’s not forget, wounded children: each time de-layering these issues inch by inch. Like each one of you perhaps, my soul’s agenda for this lifetime has unfolded slowly and never a moment before I was ready.
I always knew when the healing came, because I felt ‘lighter’ as the issues melted away and the heavy unwanted energies were released, only to be replaced by a higher level of conscious awareness each time. As my vibration and awareness increased over the years, so did the vibration of those around me and this simply added to the energetic pool in which we all swim. Multiply this effect by the tens of thousands of people going through similar experiences around the world and we begin to understand the accelerated increase in the vibration of mass consciousness over the last three decades. And that has been the key to this energetic shift, that some have called the “Quantum Leap”.
You see, somewhere on the planet, sometime during the 18th of September, someone raised their vibration just enough for it to reach an energetic ‘critical mass’ which allowed this New Energy to come in and finally anchor itself on the planet. Who knows, it might have been you that “popped” back then. If it was you, you have my deepest gratitude. And for those who are not aware of its presence, or simply believe the whole idea of New Energy is nonsense, the world will go on as usual. In any event, they have my gratitude also, because all energies need to be counter-balanced.
In truth, there is not a lot known about this New Energy - there is so much that is yet to unfold, because it is quite new. Nothing like it has ever existed here before. We are told that it goes beyond duality and holds the promise of great creative potential for anyone choosing to tap into it. But you will have to leave your ‘old energy’ baggage behind when you do. This energy isn’t like anything we have been used to in this lifetime – or any other lifetime for that matter. We literally need to step out of the old patterns of thinking and behaviour before the full potential of this New Energy will work for us.
So, as a teacher of New Energy Consciousness, what would I teach you? The answer is “nothing”, because there truly is nothing for you to learn. I would however encourage you remember that which you already know at the deepest level of your Spirit:
First, you are a sovereign being and all powerful Creator who is manifesting your reality in every moment. That you are totally responsible for everything that happens to you and when you ground that concept, it becomes the most liberating realization of all: for if there is something about your life you don’t like – you can change it. Indeed, you can create anything you choose.
That blaming anything outside yourself for the misfortunes in your life is a waste of time, since you drew these “misfortunes” to yourself for a reason. When we understand that, they become opportunities for growth, cleverly orchestrated by our shadow. We have all carried the burdens of our “baggage” for far too long, in some cases 2000 years, and it’s now time to leave our wounds behind in the old energy environment.
We can be done with duality in this lifetime and the drama it relentlessly sucks us into. The New Energy on the planet is vibrating so high, that we can enjoy the magnificence of this Third Dimensional illusion, without being dragged down into it. I would encourage you to take the 10,000 ft view of your life and give up being attached to your ‘story’.
We have a right to live in joy and abundance. And that gratitude and forgiveness are two qualities of the heart that will take us there quicker than any other state of being.
And finally, we are on a Soul Journey where free will is the golden rule. We can choose to live in insufficiency, judgement, unworthiness and fear, or we can surrender the navigation of this amazing adventure to Spirit and know with absolute certainty that we are never alone and always cared for. And that one day we will return Home to share our stories with all the supporting actors in our 3D drama play, be they villains and heroes alike. How wonderful that will be!

What
is healing or more accurately, what is true healing? When can you
say with certainty that you are truly healed? Now, that’s a loaded
question and one with a plethora of answers. That’s because true
healing can occur at so many different levels, most of them which we
are not aware. Before you can begin your own healing process, you
must take a look at the variety of places in yourself that need to
be healed.
For those of us who remember when the
New Age way of thinking really was new, it’s been quite encouraging
to see the explosion of spiritual awareness that’s taken place over
the past thirty years. Back then, on this continent at least,
conversations that included auras and chakras would either get you
branded as ‘weird’ at a formal dinner party, or ‘lucky’ if used as a
pickup line at the local bar. Happily, neither is true today.
Of
all the workshops that I teach, the one on Angels has to be my all
time favourite. That’s probably because it was the angels that got
me into teaching in the first place. Back a few years ago, before I
had ever dreamed of getting up in front of a group of people and
teaching anything, the mere thought of speaking in public terrified
me. My palms would get all sweaty, my heart would begin to skip
beats as it raced faster and faster, and my head would begin to spin
as panic would settle over me when I was asked to “put myself out
there” and “speak my truth.” “What truth?” I would always ask
myself. “What is my truth, and who wants to hear about it anyway?”
was the constant message that I would give to myself. That little
voice inside my head was insistent that I could not and would not
ever get up and talk about anything that wasn’t based in fact or
that I couldn’t somehow prove. Proof was my safety net, my back up
just in case someone would get upset with anything I was saying.
After all, if someone else had said it first, I could always blame
them. Boy, did I have a lot to learn.
